TOURNAMENT ACTIVITIES

We hope your team is excited about visiting the beautiful Walker and Leech Lake area and getting ready to play some competitive hockey! Our beautiful arena includes a full concession stand and our tournaments include a Moms' shoot and Chuck-a-Puck activities.On this page you will find our schedule,downloadable forms, rules and clothing information.

On the day of the tournament, we would like your team manager to arrive one hour prior to the start of your first game in order to run through the team check-in process. Please have the signed and stamped roster. The registration table will be located just inside the main entrance. The Leech Lake Hockey tournament is located at the Walker Area Community Center (WACC):

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Brackets will be posted two weeks prior to tournament date.
  • Mite Jamborees are free & no gate
  • Squirt Team fee is $475 others are $500 .  $50 discount for 2010-2011 tournament participants.
  • Gate fees are $250 per team and must be pre-paid before tournament.
  • All tournaments will be MN Hockey sanctioned.
  • 3 game guarantee minimum.

TOURNAMENT CLOTHING

Leech Lake Hockey will be offering pre-sale only clothing options for teams registered in our tournaments. Team managers will receive a form to complete 3-4 weeks in advance of the tournament. Short sleeve t-shirts will be $13.00, long sleeve t-shirts $16.00 and hooded sweatshirts $35.00. All shirts are heather gray and include the tournament level, team names and rosters on the back of the shirt. Click here for shirt order form.

TOURNAMENT ACTIVITIES

Our tournaments feature a couple different activities to keep our hockey fans entertained! Between periods we have our Female Representative Puck Shoot and our $1 Chuck-a-Puck activities. The Female Puck Shoot gives moms, grandmas, aunts, sisters, girlfriends, any female that wants to represent a player the chance to get the puck in the net. If you do, you win a coupon to one of our local supporting restuarants. You also get entered into a drawing to win Moondance Jam Tickets! Our Chuck-a-Puck gives you the chance to chuck your puck closest to center ice and split the pot with the current game puck sales. In addition to these fun and games, we offer a full concession stand, clothing sales, a big-screen TV, ample tables & chairs, fireplace and comfy couches. We also have free wireless Internet throughout our facility. The arena is within the Walker Area Community Center which also offers a full fitness center and locker rooms for an additional daily fee.
